3 Days Grace Replaces Lead Singer Adam Gontier

3 Days Grace Replaces Lead Singer Adam Gontier

Three Days Grace front-man Adam Gontier has left the band citing health issues.  My Darkest Days singer Matt Walst will join the band for their tour with Shinedown starting next month.

Matt is the brother of Three Days Grace bass player Brad Walst.  In a statement Brad explains, We were surprised and distressed by Adam's sudden departure.  "We are however very excited for this upcoming tour, and to have my brother Matt stepping in as lead singer."

Listen to Matt perform The High Road, Chalk Outline, and, Riot below.

UPDATE:

My Darkest Days drummer Doug Oliver posted the band's Facebook page confirming that they do not plan on breaking up and Matt Walst's stint with Three Days Grace will be temporary.

"whats up everyone? lol, just to clear things up MDD is NOT breaking up at all!! Matt is simply stepping in for 3DG for their upcoming tour as Adam is ill, MDD is killing it in the studio and wil be touring and releasing our third album in 2013, lol Dont worry everyone, MDD is NOT!!!! breaking up .....Matts gonna rip it!!!"
